Christie Wyman home... A scarcity of Building Stone in the town of Rodman limited building of stone houses in
the early days. But in Rodman Village at the junction of the Adams and Tremain's Corners roads is
the old Christie Wyman Limestone House of the Georgian Colonial architecture. Of its 10 rooms the main
ones are 9 ft high and there are two fireplaces. One member of the Wyman family related it was built in 1812 by
Dr. Isaac Wood who came from Wilbraham Massachusetts in 1805. There is the possibility it was built for
Jonathan Wyman who came the same year from Nelson New Hampshire. Dr. Christie practiced medicine and
Rodman for several years. William Jay Wyman served as supervisor from 1885 to 1890.

In 1917 the home was sold to Merritt Brown cattle dealer who died in March of 1976
